Amount

Depending on the conditions and duration of the scholarship: $20,000, $25,000, $35,000 and $3,000

Goals

Research excellence scholarships aimed at female students, foreign master's students, doctoral students, postdoctoral students and short research stays

Criteria

• Must meet all eligibility requirements as of the contest closing date;

• Must have been pre-selected by a Quebec university establishment;

• Not having already obtained a PBEEE scholarship;

• Not be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;

• Must not have submitted an application for permanent residence under Canadian immigration laws;

• Be a foreign student or be a foreign researcher in all fields of study (health, human and social sciences, arts and letters, natural sciences and engineering).

Other information

The excellence scholarship program for foreign students is divided into four components:

Master’s scholarships (VM),

Doctoral research scholarships (V1, 1B, 1I, 1IS, 1W),

Postdoctoral fellowships (V2, 2B, 2I),

Short-term research or advanced training grants (V3, 3B, 3I, 3IS, 3W).
