The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a speciality polytechnic institute located in Calgary, Canada. It is Calgary’s second oldest post-secondary institution and is the country’s first publicly funded technical educational institution. It was founded in 1916 with 11 students, with the mandate to train veterans returning from the First World War.
Today SAIT offers more than 110 career programs at various levels in technology, trades and business domains. The education at SAIT is action-based and the research is solution focused. Residence options available to students at SAIT include two modern high rises which are located in the northeast corner of the main campus.

SAIT's main campus is located on 16 Avenue NW, which overlooks the downtown core of Calgary. The institute also has three other campuses in Calgary: the Mayland Heights located on Centre Avenue, the Culinary Campus, located on Stephen Avenue and the Art Smith Aero Centre situated on 17 acres of land of the Calgary International Airport.
