McGill University has impressed following the publication of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023.
In total, 44 Mcgill University subjects ranked in the world's top 100, 28 in the world's top 50 and three in the world's top 10. McGill's subjects in the top 10 were Engineering (Mineral & Mining), ranking 6th overall, while Anatomy & Physiology ranked 7th and Library & Information Management at 8th.
Other subjects at Mcgill which stood out included Linguistics (21st); Medicine (22nd); Environmental Sciences (23rd); Psychology (28th); and Law (29th).
The 2023 QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluates over 1,500 institutions across 54 different subjects, grouped into five faculty areas; academic and employer reputation, research citations per paper, H-index (productivity and citation impact of the publications of a scientist or scholar) and international research network.
